Farmington Continues March Madness Fundraising Efforts

For the fourth consecutive year, the Farmington office hosted it’s “March Madness” fundraiser. Once the Men’s NCAA basketball brackets were set, they were distributed to Farmington employees. For those who wanted to participate, a $5 donation was suggested (but not required) for each bracket, and employees could submit as many brackets as they wanted. The person with the best bracket at the end of the tournament could choose which charity would receive the funds raised.

This year, the office raised $200. Jen Capute was the undisputed champion, so along with the basketball trophy and bragging rights, she has chosen to donate the funds raised to Las Margaritas Foundation. The mission of this nonprofit humanitarian organization is to serve the needs of the community in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, with a focus on helping children in the area to become leaders and bring positive change to their community. This is an organization close to Jen’s heart, as Las Margaritas Foundation was founded by her brother and sister-in-law, and each year summer they run a camp for the children in the area. Both of Jen’s kids volunteer as teen leaders at the camp, too.

Congratulations to Jen and the Farmington office for these fundraising efforts!
