Salem’s Annual Peanut Butter Drive

The Salem, VA office participated in the Feeding America Southwest Virginia annual peanut butter drive again this year – their 4th year in a row! The team was challenged to meet or slightly exceed their totals from last year, and once again they exceeded their target – this year by 115 jars! The peanut butter bake sale was another resounding success, contributing to the increase in the number of jars team Salem was able to purchase and donate.

The Charitable Trust matched 545 jars at an approximate cost of $2/jar and a $25 donation from various Salem employees. Additionally, per the food bank, this year Kroger Supermarkets is also matching monetary donations dollar for dollar – so the donation will essentially be doubled! Check out the totals from year-over-year below, and a photo of the collected peanut butter!
