Plymouth Team Motivates for Twin Cities in Motion

Authored by: Kayla Clark, Corporate Finance

Last Saturday, 13 of our Plymouth-based employees participated in the Twin Cities in Motion 5K Run/Walk on the State Capitol Grounds in St. Paul, Minn. Despite it being a chilly October morning, all who participated enjoyed themselves and either met or exceeded their personal goals! A portion of each racer’s entry fee benefited Twin Cities in Motion, a nonprofit organization that supports youth and professional athlete initiatives. Congrats to our team for placing 16th out of the 50 teams who participated in the corporate 5K challenge.

Additionally, Tammy Placzek of our Plymouth-based Financial Services group ran in the Twin Cities in Motion Marathon the following morning. She ran with Team World Vision and raised money to support clean water initiatives in Africa.  Thanks in part to a generous donation from the OneBeacon Charitable Trust, Tammy raised enough money to provide clean water for 40 people.  Plus, she finished the marathon in great time!
